First of many!!!! Trip(kuari pass Trek )to remember

"It is not the mountains we conquer, but ourselves".It was my dream to do a Himalayan winter trek and the dream came true😊.
Mountains call us....Himalayas really do call us....My dream trek happened with awesome team trek the Himalayas(TTH) ,the name itself is thrilling!!
I chose winter Kuari pass trek in Garhwal region of Himalayas of Uttarkhand state.Busy medico life made me crave for long vacation and the trek is the real boon  for me.
Three of us from Bangalore started our journey on 17/2/2017 to Delhi and it was my first time in flight😊.From Delhi we headed towards Haridwar , the holy city in a state bus .It was a great experience by sitting about 7 hrs .we had a great lunch in a daba on the way.The food was just wow.yummy roti with dal and curry....
Haridwar is a beautiful place on the banks of river Ganges.temple is also nice.Gangarathi is very special in Haridwar...I'm blessed by witnessing beautiful gangarathi. We roamed in the streets of Haridwar and had different variety of chats.one  more memorable thing in Haridwar was a autorikshaw with loud music .we rested for the day in Haridwar.Next day morning again we visitef temple and the early moring scenery was just a bliss.

We were picked up by TTH team at Haridwar. The journey to Joshimat nearly 8 hrs from Haridwar was unforgettable with the beauty of ganges and mountains all over in NH-58.

Next day we drove to Dhak village from where we started our most awaited trek.we crossed few villages observing the lifestyle of villagers, those innocent kids, cattles, doggies etc etc carrying our backpack. It was 6km walk which was fully ascent and was tiresome day and reached our first camp site Chitrakanta(3230m).Snow covered mountains were waiting to welcome us with open arms.
Cool breeze ,dark night, wide sky ,millions of bright stars with awesome people made my day.Chilling night in the tent was an awesome experience.

                     Camp site ,Chitrakanta

              Beautiful view of Dhak village

            Cute doggie which accompanied us

Sunrise was a breathtaking scene. After  gharam gharam chai we started to Thali top(3540m).Waking in the dense forest ,snow laden meadows and our joy was out of reach. It was already noon when we reached there and hot lunch was waiting for us.it was one of the awesome days of my life as I experienced my first snowfall 😍.Our snow man ,playing in the snow, snow snow everywhere awesome awesome!!!!!!!!
As they say acclimatization with high altitude is the key for surviving in the mountain,we had acclimatization walk to frozen Thali lake from where we saw 180 degree view of mountain ranges....We had lifesaving bonefire and delicious dinner...Lengthy night passes anyhow with bone cracking cold......

                        First snow fall😍

Frozen Thali lake with beautiful himalayas

                         Thick forests

Third day was summit day.It had to be 15 km walk.Since the snow fall continued throughout night and even the day we couldn't make it which is the only sad thing of the trek.We made half a way to kuari pass.Walking on the fresh snow, snow fall ,snow storm!!!!!Our trek leaders made wonderful job.By afternoon we reached back to our campsite.By that time we were craving for the sun :p ...Truly campfire saved us:p

                  Ready for the bonefire

On the way to kuari pass

Finally sun made his appearance:p 4th day was thrilling daring path of the trek..We had steep ascent and then descent. We crossed most difficult path of the trek by passing narrow path which was really challenging ..Beautiful view of Himalayas !!!!!!!!Auli the real beauty!!!!!!!Full of fresh snow covered wide area like milk powder everywhere..Mind blowing!!!!!After a walk of about 3-4 hrs we reached thick forest of Auli and then back to joshimat by cable car which was once again my first experience!!!!!!!

Snow snow everywhere !!!!! Auli

Our journey did not end here...We had fun time in rishikesh where v did bungee jumping and river rafting which are once again my first time!!!!!
River rafting was such a thrilling experience.16 km trail with enthusiastic captain with us.In between we jumped into the Ganges.Water was freaking cold and it was an awesome experience.in between the rafting we had a Maggie break ...chiilling water with hot and tasty Maggie made us more energetic..Cliff jump was one more adrenaline gushing activity we did .
Jumpin heights, the name itself is thrilling..It is about 15 km from Rishikesh where we did bungee jumping. We hired two wheeler and it was a great ride in uttarakhand.Bungee jump-Adrenaline surge !!!!! Yuppy I did it!!!!
